ZACHARY MOUTON

Zachary Mouton is a producer, engineer, mixer, and musician with a passion for creativity. He started in 1997 making techno beats on his computer with Techno Ejay and eventually found his way into a band on GSL Records owned by Omar Rodriguez of the Mars Volta. During the journey, he received a degree in Audio Engineering and Music Business, as well as an Apple Logic Master Pro Certification. As a recording engineer, Mouton has a special ability to create good vibes and capture great performances. His knowledge of vintage gear and effects will help you create a timeless sound for your recordings.

He moved to Los Angeles from New Orleans in 2014, and his most recent position was General Manager and Head Recording Engineer of Route 2 Recording Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Mouton has worked with comedian and actress Maya Rudolph, comedian Tig Nataro, and singer Terry Dexter. Previously, he was the assistant to the Executive Producer on music videos and branded content for RW Media. This work has ranged from official videos for the Smashing Pumpkins to branded content with Pepsi and Usher. He has experience reading treatments, creative direction, submitting successful treatments, reading scripts, and director management. 

Mouton has a passion for technical excellence, a commitment to deliver on deadline, and the vision to inject creativity into everyday tasks are characteristics that have underpinned his work experience and hands-on freelance assignments in sound engineering. Acknowledged by lecturers and clients as a meticulous trouble-shooter, rapid-paced learner, and independent thinker. Mouton is intuitive, analytical, and proficient in applying realistic and imaginative solutions to technical issues. He is dedicated to enriching and maintaining the integrity of musical compositions of all genres, optimizing sound quality, capitalizing on equipment capabilities, and making high-impact, behind-the-scenes contributions.
